PRESS RELEASE, April 25, 2022 – The International Currency Association (ICA), representing the world’s currency sector, are delighted to confirm the expansion of their global membership base with the acceptance of Aristocraft International Private Limited, a supplier of banknote security threads to the Indian Government, as a new member of the association.

ICA Chairman, Dr. Wolfram Seidemann, welcomed Aristocraft  to the association stressing that “the decision by Aristocraft to join the ICA reflects our growing strength as the voice for the global currency industry and the value the ICA brings in advocating for the value of cash in the payments landscape of the future.”

Upon acceptance of their membership application, Anshu Mittal, Managing Director of Aristocraft said, “We feel privileged at being on board this global platform of leaders and are grateful to the ICA for accepting us as a member. India is the second biggest market for banknotes globally, and Aristocraft is playing a leading role in supplying security features for its current series. Based on cutting-edge technologies, state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment, lean management techniques, and relations built on trust and reliability, Aristocraft has evolved into a market-leading organization in its field and is prepared to develop further into international markets. We are committed to constantly leading, learning and successfully collaborating with our international partners to secure banknotes as a modern means of payment.”

ICA Director General, Jutta Buyse commented, “Aristocraft ‘s joining of our Association is an exciting opportunity for the ICA to enhance its capacity to represent the cash industry globally. With a rapidly evolving payments landscape, close engagement with countries around the world and especially with the world’s largest markets for cash, is key to remaining at the forefront of understanding changing consumer needs and behaviours and the impact this has on the role of cash as a public good. We look forward to benefiting from the expertise and insights that Aristocraft can bring to the ICA moving forward.”
